Frequently asked questions
When does an agreement become active?
An agreement becomes active only after the customer approves the exact terms and Truss verifies the approval.
Does reviewing an agreement approve it?
No. Opening and reading an agreement does not approve it. Approval requires a separate, explicit secure action.
How should a merchant record a payment?
Open the correct customer and agreement, enter the amount actually received, and verify the resulting balance before leaving the screen.
What is a Truss Check?
A Truss Check provides a current, verified trust-history snapshot for an authorized customer lookup. It is not a guarantee, recommendation, or legally defined credit score.
Why does a record show as pending?
Pending records are waiting for required review, approval, verification, or synchronization. Reconnect and refresh to see the latest status.
Can I use Truss offline?
Saved information can remain available offline. Actions that require verification or server updates complete only after a secure connection is available.
What should I do if information is wrong?
Do not approve incorrect terms. Use the dispute or review tools and include clear, truthful supporting details.
How do I protect my account?
Use a passkey and MFA where available. Never share a password, approval PIN, authenticator code, or recovery code. Revoke devices you no longer recognize.
How do Truss Check purchases work?
Truss Checks are consumable in-app purchases. If verification is delayed, the app can recover the unfinished transaction after you reconnect.
How do I contact Support?
Open Help & FAQ inside Truss, tap Support, choose the request type, and describe the issue without including passwords, MFA codes, or private keys. If our support team is currently offline, please expect a response within 24 to 72 hours.
How do I delete my customer account?
Open Account & Privacy in the app and choose Delete Account. If you no longer have the app, follow the instructions at truss.today/delete-account. Deleting a login does not reset valid retained trust history; dispute inaccurate records before deletion.
Security reminders
Truss staff and merchants should never ask for your password, six-digit approval PIN, authenticator code, recovery code, or passkey private key. If an agreement, payment, device, or sign-in looks unfamiliar, do not approve it.
For account, agreement, payment, security, or privacy requests, use the secure in-app Support channel. Do not send credentials or payment-card information in a support message.
