Truss legal
Terms & Conditions
Effective date: August 4, 2026.
1. About these terms
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Truss mobile application, related websites, invitation pages, and support services (together, “Truss” or the “Service”). Truss is operated by Rhatid Hub Ltd. (“Truss,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account, accepting an invitation, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not use Truss. If you use Truss for a business or organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms on its behalf.
2. What Truss does
Truss helps merchants and customers create, review, and maintain records of customer credit agreements and related payments. The Service may include customer approval flows, payment and balance records, daily work summaries, disputes, support conversations, trusted-device security, and paid Truss Checks.
Truss is a record-keeping and workflow tool. Truss does not lend money, issue credit, collect debt, provide a bank account, act as a bank, or make credit decisions for you. A Truss Check is a current trust-history snapshot, not a legally defined credit score, guarantee of repayment, recommendation, or substitute for your own lawful decision-making.
3. Accounts and eligibility
- Provide information that is accurate, current, and authorized for you to use.
- Keep your password, passkeys, MFA codes, recovery codes, and devices secure.
- Tell us promptly through Truss Support if you suspect unauthorized access.
- Do not allow another person to use your account or approval credentials.
- Do not use Truss to create or approve an agreement you are not legally able or authorized to enter.
Truss is not designed for children to enter financial or credit agreements. Parents and guardians are responsible for preventing use that is not appropriate or authorized.
Customer accounts are claimed through a merchant invitation linked to an existing customer record. A customer who returns after deleting a login account must be verified and receive a new invitation to that same customer record; creating a new email login does not create a new trust history.
4. Merchant responsibilities
Merchants are responsible for the accuracy, lawfulness, fairness, and appropriate use of their records. Before creating an agreement, confirm that the customer is the correct person and that the terms are complete. Use customer information only for a legitimate, authorized business purpose and comply with applicable privacy, consumer-protection, anti-discrimination, lending, debt-collection, and record-keeping laws.
Do not use Truss Checks or other records as the sole basis for an unlawful or discriminatory decision. Do not attempt to identify, contact, pressure, or penalize a person outside the permission and purpose for which information was provided.
5. Customer responsibilities
Review every agreement carefully before approving it. Confirm the merchant, amount, purpose, due date, and repayment schedule. Do not approve terms that are incorrect or that you do not understand. If a record is wrong, use the dispute or support flow and provide truthful, relevant details.
Account deletion is not a dispute, correction, or Trust Score reset. You must not delete and recreate access to evade accurate agreement or repayment history. Inaccurate, unauthorized, or improperly linked records should be challenged through the dispute or privacy-request process.
6. Your content and Truss records
You retain your rights in information you submit, subject to the permissions needed to operate the Service. You give Truss a limited, non-exclusive permission to host, process, secure, display, synchronize, and back up that information to provide Truss and its support, security, and compliance functions.
Agreement and ledger activity is designed to remain auditable. Corrections or disputes may appear as new attributable events rather than silently changing completed history. You must not upload content that is unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, invasive of another person’s privacy, or unrelated to the record or support request.
Deleting a customer login removes access credentials and account-security data, but does not automatically erase valid agreements, payments, disputes, consent evidence, audit history, identity links, or score history that Truss or a participating merchant must reasonably retain. If the customer later returns through a verified invitation, eligible retained history is reconnected and the Personal Trust Score is recalculated under the model then in use. The result may change over time and is not guaranteed to equal the last displayed number.
7. Truss Checks and in-app purchases
Truss Checks are consumable in-app purchases. One check produces one current trust-summary snapshot, subject to successful StoreKit purchase and server verification. Watchlist notifications indicate that a status changed; they do not reveal a new snapshot. A new check is required for updated details.
Purchases are processed through the applicable app store. Apple’s payment, refund, and purchase terms apply to purchases made through Apple’s App Store. Truss does not receive or store your payment-card number through the app. A purchase is not complete until the server verifies it; if verification fails, Truss may not grant checks and the app may retry an unfinished transaction.
8. Prohibited use
You may not misuse Truss, interfere with its security, reverse engineer or scrape it except where law permits, bypass access controls, submit false records, impersonate another person, use another person’s credentials, transmit malware, or use the Service to violate law or another person’s rights.
9. Availability, changes, and suspension
Truss may be unavailable during maintenance, network failures, provider outages, or events outside our reasonable control. Offline views do not mean every action has synchronized; check the status after reconnecting. We may update, limit, suspend, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary for security, legal, operational, or product reasons.
We may suspend or terminate access for security concerns, misuse, unpaid obligations to an app store, or violation of these Terms. Where appropriate, we will provide a way to contact Support about an access issue.
10. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, Truss is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not promise that every record is complete, current, error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for a particular decision. You remain responsible for verifying identity, terms, payments, permissions, and legal compliance before acting.
11. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Truss and its operators will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive loss, or for loss caused by your inaccurate information, unauthorized use, unlawful decision, or failure to secure your account. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits mandatory consumer rights.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service changes or legal requirements develop. We will update the effective date and, where appropriate, provide notice in the app or through another reasonable channel. Continued use after an update means the updated Terms apply, except where law requires a different form of consent.
13. Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of Jamaica, without limiting mandatory rights that apply where you live. Use the secure Truss Support channel in the app or visit truss.today/support for account, agreement, payment, security, or privacy questions. Account-deletion instructions are available at truss.today/delete-account.
